Bell peppers have more vitamin c than oranges. Easy to save the seeds and they are easy to grow—-til Billy Gaytz blots out the sky like in “the animatrix”
yeah I “dislike” canned meats, lots of boar and deer where I live, but who knows how long that will last knowing my neighbors. I have a “spam” wall in the pantry and shop just in case. I guess it’s not bad fried with eggs. side note: Had vegemite while I was in AUS, fn yuck, but good source of vitamin b like substance. Kangaroo meat however, delicious. Aussies in the “outback” will never starve.
Put whatever you plan to store into 5 mil mylar bags with oxygen absorbers in them, sealed via a clothing iron - the whole process takes 1 minute, and the mylar bags and oxygen absorbers are on Amazon.
seriously though, stock up. Stick to what you know, don’t worry about “buying organic” LOL, Sugar, flour, vit c, beans, rice. you can thank me later.
good points. Thanks.

Canned meat, beans, etc., stay good forever. Make sure tin is .not dented. I ate canned c rats from Korean war in 1980 during basic.

Spam saved Hawaiians for sure. In the woods. Game aplenty for now. Foraging. Can do. Got spam.
Fortify the packaging.
Bugs will eventually make it through the retail packaging if it is not glass or metal.
