Accounts keep their handshake until an undisclosed amount of points are received, in both posts and comments, and perhaps some other undisclosed parameter. so you will some times see 6 month old accounts or even a year old with a handshake because they are either rarely used or are deeply unpopular with the users here.
Handshake accounts are super trustworthy. Always listen to them. Once day, you'll earn your handshake. I believe in you. Just speak the truth and baal will reward you.
