a) order followers follow orders of those giving them.

b) the natural order moves life from inception towards death; which implies life representing the resistance to the perceived natural order. How to corrupt that? By suggesting the many to follow orders instead.

Consent (by choice) to suggestion (by choice) puts one into the chain of command under another one.
