If you were okay with Russia invading Ukraine on account of their fragile nation being too frightened to allow Ukraine to make friends... Then this should also be acceptable.
My stance holds: no one should breach borders. Anyone who breaches borders forfeits their right to life.

I think Russia and the US are much closer allies than either nation lets on. Good Cop Bad Cop on a larger scale. Ivan fucks you up, Billy sells you the antidote (UKR). Or sometimes, Billy fucks you up and Ivan sells the antidote (VZ). The antidote is always a banana republic and both superpowers benefit at the expense of everyone else.
