They are using it to slowly relocate antarctica to a tropical latitude. All of the “colliders” are kinetic displacement devices. China even has some trains synced up to the rhythm, but I doubt that really matters. They want to make them bigger so it will go more quickly, but the movement is slightly unpredictable because of the irregular shape of the earth; it makes it hard to know where to build the next one every time you make a new one.
The US will eventually build one in Greenland to act as “brakes”. The goal is to settle Yellowstone at the North Pole. Ideally the ice will prevent its eruption.

One of the stations has "altars" for each person there...some were shown on camera, and one has an OBVIOUS pizza reference.
There's also a huge My Little Pony altar at the end of the tunnels...it's at the 10:15 mark.
He also states (in an area where the camera conveniently loses focus), that there are even MORE altars deeper in the tunnels.
