From what I understand Yahweh is from Arabic to mean being and also Hebrew for I am, it's translated probably by Greek to other languages to mean I am who I am. Now, if any of this was then misconstrued and or used for nefarious purpose well then that is just the state of a fallen world. It does not take away from the greater meaning of God, which expands beyond any words we could put letters to, Elohim(God), Adonai (Lord and master), Abba(Father), God the Father, God the creator, God the Spirit, Jesus Christ(God in flesh), Jesus the Son of God. We can confuse all the things because we can't fully grasp the Trinity but at the end of the day God's truth will create order and understanding even if it takes to the ending of this world. I could be off on translation stuff, I'm just starting to learn but it's fun to learn new things and be corrected if I'm wrong.
I also recognize as I'm writing this that all those above words have been corrupted in some sort and this could be a good perspective to keep in mind. Everything is liable to corruption within our human understanding. The battle is sorting through and searching for undeniable truth.
