At least that project have some decent scale and creativity, unlike all that crap they do here. :)
As for technical details, hardly making a star from gas giant (if possible at all) will noticeably change something on Earth. It will be just a bright star instead of dim planet, nothing else. The mass of Saturn is only 100 times larger that Earth, and our already working star - Sun is 300000 times heavier than Earth. Also, add a minimum 8 times larger distance and take in account that power flux is lowers with square of distance.
Titan have methane atmosphere and even if it will be heated to habitable temperature, there still will be a huge problem of atmosphere replacement, and I can't recall any project that will allow to do it in decent time. You absolutely can't make oxygen from methane (it is theoretically possible to make oxygene from CO2 in martian atmosphere, f.e.), so you have to deliver it from another place or make from soil, which is much harder. And you have to get rid of methane, hardly anybody will want to live on a moon with explosive atmosphere. You know what could happen if you mix methane with oxygen, right?
Honestly, I see nothing bad in developing Solar System, including creation of new habitable places on other planets and moons. That is what humanity have to do instead of making next stupid iPhone and playing stocks.
May be that artificial satanization of large scale space projects and ideas just an attempt to keep us on Earth under the control of that stupid elite, nothing more.
