Read your own policy but, at least in Canada, suicide and incontestability period is 24 months from policy issue or last reinstatement
I’d expect that’s pretty standard across the Western world
It doesn’t mean your policy won’t pay for death of any kind during the first two years, but those types of policies DO exist where they would simply refund your premiums if dead within first 24 months for any reason
Usually those are easy/non-medical/quick/simplified issue policies that some people go with, usually because they can’t get a good policy due to health problems
The two year period means that you can’t kill yourself for at least 25 months and I’d probably wait at least a full three years if you can make it a full three before you /wrists
