Millennials and zoomers have a hard time accepting that there used to be a time when people knew things. The blanket of ignorance is falling like an iron curtain over the peak of western enlightenment.
I was on the moon when they landed, to greet them. My Gruppenfuhrer sent me from our base on the dark side with good German beer - imported from Earth. I invited them over for bratwurst and explained that a lot of retards wouldn't ever believe they got there, but we did 'cause we were like bros in space and all. I said "Neil, dude, in 70 years a buncha tards will claim you never left a footprint. How rude." Neil said "Fuck them rednecks, Hans."
I'm 37...I realized the moon landing was a hoax when I was in 10th grade (in 2000)! No way we ever walked on the moon. The pictures were taken in Idaho at Craters of the Moon National Monument. They are now saying we will be back in the moon by 2025, lol. Yeah right!
It's not really an IQ thing, there's a different mechanism at work.
A few years ago I sent a friend of mine, a man in his 50s and a card-carrying member of Mensa, a pdf copy of "Wagging the Moondoggie" by Dave McGowan. He knew I had always been a huge space and scifi fan, and I sent along a heartfelt note saying how difficult it was for me to get excited about anything space-related any more knowing what fakery was at the heart of it.
His rant came back starting with, "I'm not going to read a word of this drivel." Hang on--how in the hell did he know it was drivel if he hadn't read a word? Again, this was from a member of Mensa.
A high IQ is like a Ferrari, but then again the analogy really breaks down. People with exotic sports cars almost always appreciate their value and take good care of them, but people with high IQs drive them right over cliffs or into brick walls.
I watched a documentary on it in the mid-90s when I was much younger than 25 and thought it was dumb af to believe it happened. It’s truly amazing to see people defend it, vaccines, Ukraine, any of it at this point.
