John, paul, and ringo. I guess you missed my point :( If all the pilots in the world believed the world were flat, you would accept that? That's positively nutso!
Burden of proof falls squarely on your shoulders.
Only in debate. In real life (this is real life), the burden to validate all claims BEFORE they are accepted falls upon the student. In life, you are student and then you die.
I love sagan, and completely agree! The claim that the world is a sphere is one hell of an extraordinary claim! You might be surprised to learn that it has never been empirically validated once in all of human history. It began as a mere assumption over 2 millenia ago, and remains one to this day! Stop by the community and share your criticisms!
Why are you so obsessed with names? Are you trying to make a list (tsk tsk schindler...)?
As I said, there are many pilots that think the world is flat - why you care what their names are or what shape they think the world is - is beyond me! Again, if all pilots said the world was flat (or round, or any other shape) - you would just blindly believe them?
you disingenuous shill faggot.
I am many things, but disingenuous is not amongst them (often, anyhow). I work very hard to be earnest and honest, and I advocate for others to do the same!
Ad hominem is the last resort of the intellectually feeble. Out of desperation they attack the thinker, because they couldn't attack the thought. It is very sad, and I wish for you to do better - brother, or sister!
I watched part of a 'flat earth' video, where a number of people claiming to be pilots (being in cockpits and doing pilot stuff in the video) said they think the earth is flat. As jack asked, what would knowing their names do for you?
I don't know why you're letting jack expose you as a believer, and not a knower. It's not a good look, because it's a position of ignorance, not of knowledge. If you simply "believe in" the shape of the earth, then the actual shape doesn't matter.
As I said, the burden to validate facts (which are merely one type of claim that a student may encounter) falls upon the student. Why do you blindly believe that no pilots think the world is flat (which is obviously incorrect)? Is it because you want/choose to? Why do you think that what pilots believe about the shape of the earth has any bearing on its actual shape?
Do you ask a bus driver for detailed topographical maps? You are "digging in the wrong place" my friend and are getting distracted.
This is not a debate. It is merely a conversation!
If I gave you a list of 3 pilots that think the world is flat (which is trivial and very easy to do - you could compile the list yourself quite quickly) - then what? Think it through! What would the significance of this list possibly be?!

I merely stated a fact.
