Oil companies are not the bad guy. Profits are not the bad guy. These are communist ideas that propagate to the right wing when shit hits the fan. The only reason why gas prices are going up so quickly after the Russia invasion started is because our domestic production is so down because of communist policies. Free markets solve problems. Price controls and communist policies create problems.
I don't mean that they are necessarily the good guys, just that they are not the bad guys in this story (re: gas prices). If the oil companies had their way, as long as we did not allow them to have a monopoly or collusion between them, they would happily pump all the oil out of the ground that exists and it would cost us $.50 a gallon for gasoline.
