While this is simplistically describing a non-lethal virus, I would be really interested in how such a “cure” gets monetized. People are not going to develop cures like this for free. They will do it for a purpose: either a. To get rich or b. To accomplish something significant.
Same way they made money off the covid vaccine. Make everyone pay for it upfront whether they want it or not by purchasing enough for your whole population and then force people to take it if you have to.
Self-propagating gene therapies. Too many have accepted or embraced the gene therapies and that opened the door for all sorts of potential experimentation. I hope these GMOs start dropping dead all at once this year. Their masters are discussing inescapable gene therapies at this point. They cannot take another step.
They definitely have enough research to start working on a viable product they'll have in a few months to a year. That's how Moderna started. Moderna has been sitting on all sorts of human alteration technologies for years.

leaky vaccines are above my knowledge level but I do know they come with their own set of problems with mutations.
