There is a faction that posts "post apocalyptic" predictions about what would happen after an economic collapse or totalitarian takeover that include essentially the people being cared for, receiving free money, being provided with high quality virtual reality, enough food, medical care, a clean and warm place to sleep and more. After an upheaval that causes what a reasonable person would consider a dystopia, these things would not come to pass.

UBI stands for universal basic income and is a guaranteed income for all people without restriction (That is what makes it universal--other schemes with strings attached are wrongly called UBI.) Even with current UBI proposals people are talking about attaching it to behavoir (not unlike a social credit score as part of the China Model).
