We did have a huge industry boom during WWII, so theoretically we could, but look at an individual in Society in 1941 and compare that with an individual in society in 2022 and see that in terms of dignity and intelligence etc. there really is no comparison
You are overstating your case. It's complicated, and what you describe is a large undertaking, but things from can be sourced from places other than China. The United States can focus on the most important things first. It's not like they have to crank out a bunch of low-end crap from day one.
