I plan on watching it later, but ironically they are framing the issue wrong (at least so far). The term fake news should be limited to organizations that pretend to be journalistic in order to make the information they publish appear more credible.
The Deep State had been trying to suppress that true meaning for years until they finally managed to do it by co-opting the term. Daily Beast writer Marco Chacon made a false news website that published humorous news stories that until then would have been classified as news satire. Two weeks after the 2016 election he wrote an article crowing about how easy it is to "dupe the right." Deep State media ran with it (conveniently ignoring this story and blaming Russia instead), thus forever misdirecting the world away from using that term to describe the much more serious fake news that they (as well as other governments and corporations) publish.

Those are some great questions. My answers are kind of long-winded, and yes, I can show you a conspiracy to create an online echo chamber by the Democrats that has been insidiously scrubbed from the Internet in some sickening ways.
That is the deception! The author of the piece is (ostensibly) the person responsible--liberal as fuck Daily Beast writer! Then they pretend that millions of people were "duped" by that foolishness and that something needs to be done (censoring conservative media). Then they audaciously blame the victims of their own ruse for being so stupid that those extreme measures had to be taken. This is textbook CCP propaganda!
