No, the f feral government can't can't force states to make, or unmake laws(unless unconstitutional), but I hats not what Trump would be doing if he forced them to remain open, and free.

States have alot of authority, but the end call is the federal government that is made clear that ye federal government has s the final say so.

The first grounds he could have based his forcing things to remain open and free is on the grounds of it being unconstitutional. How ever the president also has power to auperc de the states actions in o DER to control commerce.

So he could have done some fancy lawyering to allow buisnesses to remain open and could have saved those buisnesses. Non top of that during time of war or crisis the president is given even greater authority over economy and keeping supply chains going so he could have done even more to ensure everything stayed open for the sake of economy.

Sweden stayed open, and Trump could have worked it to be very much the same here if that was important to him, but instead he just granted Gates, and Fauci their wishes and rushed them their vaccine in record time.

Speaking of Fauci, he was the one who gave all those states direction and support in shutting down. Why didnt Trump fire that madman? Why did he cater to him and rush him the vaccines per Faucis request?
