Every rational person understands gravity pulls smaller mass towards larger mass equally from all sides, thus our iron core pulled elements to its center including water molecules. Gravity is the singular, universal force that you cannot escape without exerting greater than the 1g force that holds your feet to the ground. A flat plane would buckle and rip apart and eventually form a ball.

Nearly all Christians believe the earth is a globe and was made by God, nearly all atheists believe the earth is a globe and came from the Big Bang, so there isn’t a consensus as to whether the globe was formed naturally or made by the hand of god.

But if you take that 1x1 square, and expand it outwards a few thousand miles, gravity will pull it towards the center every time. If it were to remain perfectly flat over thousands of miles, you would need to elevate it. This is why suspension bridge towers are never 100% parallel. If you took an engineering course, you would learn that you need to compensate for the curvature of the earth. Go ask an engineer. They will confirm.
