I agree with the the general sentiment here but want to point out that live views is not the same as total views. Not apples to apples. But, the age of podcast is here finally

I have been unable to find verification of these numbers, let alone the methodology used to get them.

It's interesting that the sources are Nielson (known for broadcast television) and Spotify (known for podcasting). From what I've seen online, Fox News and CNN are claimed to have the best ratings in various news categories.
