I made a post earlier this evening stating that my wife and I got the vaccine almost a year ago and haven't experienced any negative side effects or dropped dead. Same goes for everyone we know. Unsurprisingly, the post instantly got downvoted to shit with people telling me I'm lying or whatever. Yawn.
For the record, I am aggressively against vaccine mandates but don't think there's anything particularly wrong with the vaccines themselves beyond the fact that they simply don't work with nearly the efficacy advertised by Big Pharma when they started rolling them out.
If anyone wants to ask me any questions about it, I'm happy to honestly respond. I'm not trying to convince of anything (really don't care what you do with your own body), but given that the discourse around it seems to be emotionally heightened to the point of fairytale superstition, I feel like I could bring things back down to Earth a bit for anyone curious.
I know plenty of vaccinated people who got COVID. I was just at family over Christmas they're all vaxxed. But the little shits gave me Omicron. On a scale of flu, it has been 2 out of 10. Mild apart from brief head cold and fever. They're all vaxxed and they all got Omicron. They finally gave me bullshit. 2 years and finally I get sick with it. It is bullshit. I have had flu where I have been so sick it felt like death, puking continuously until nothing left but still gag reflexing, with the shits and stomach ache, fever so bad it gave rashes, cough and blowing dripping nose until bloody. Whatever this was it really wasn't.
But after your dumb post why vax to still get sick. 10 weeks you have speculative protection before you need another jab. But like my above family they still catch COVID anyway and they still give it to me unvaxxed. Now that I have had the bullshit. Why get vaxxed?
I agree with you. It's vastly preferable to just get the virus, lay in bed for a day or two and then be done with it. If you read my post, I'm not advocating for the vaccine. I'm simply saying that I see so much histrionic bullshit on this forum about how people get the vaccine and then drop dead and it's obviously not true.
But yes, we should all just be having COVID parties to get the infection out of the way, build up natural immunity and move on with our lives.
