It really doesn't matter. The European winter festival is about surviving winter and having belief that spring will come. It's about lifting spirits of cold miserable people surrounded by death.

Christianity brings the story that a Savior is born among us and to keep hope alive so we shall see the glory of The Lord.

Easter is to inspire you to trust that no matter how awful things look hope can still come from resurrection. Either through the Lord Rising from The Dead, or a magical rabbit leaving gifts in the undergrowth.
