By the looks of it, it seems like there will be absolutely ZERO resistance either.
People can withstand being starved and put randomly into camps for a decade before they break. Even when it comes to Red Khmers, they withstood 4 months before the Khmer Rouge commits politicide.
Well, what makes you believe this will be different? And even if we gun down all the elites 3 years later, the fruits of your victory will be a bitter one.
I'm also curious about criminals ... there must be at least rumours that this is all about social credit. Criminals certainly wouldnt be supportive, right?
and if theyr were used to terroie the peaceful?

It's like this in Soviet Russia, Nazi Germany or the Red Khmers.
In Pol Pot's Cambodia, the Cham Muslims are fed pork then slaughtered -- they slaughtered around 80% of the Cham population pre-year zero.
Also the Muslims can be useful in the aftermath where if you are not a criminal or are not armed, you WILL die.
