I now see why nothing was ever done, and in fact, how this behavior was encouraged by the admins in positions of authority.
These people have legitimately lost their minds. The internet has either broken vast swathes of humanity, or these people were ALREADY broken and the internet just exposed this disturbing fact. Perhaps it's a bit of both.
Either way, it's not difficult to understand how a major website like reddit can evolve into a culture were death threats are permitted and even encouraged, especially when the supposed "highest" level of authority is displaying the same perverted and psychopathic behavior.

We live in unreal times. The very fact that this isn't satire should offend everyone. The fact that it doesn't tells you all you need to know about who these people are and their thought process. We have gone from incentivizing, to persuasion, to all out coercion in a few short months. Now it is literally get on board, or die. It is an affront to all sensible people. There is no sense in any of it anymore, only another division to politicize for years to come.
Proud to post up that I, too, have enjoyed multiple threats and the only subject which is addressed is the JQ so that narrows it down. I've never felt so strong, calm and assured while they appear to be emotionally disintegrating. Not a good look guys.
