You know, I’ve noticed that there are some peculiarly bright stars just before dusk these days. Bright enough to be seen in daylight and through all that haze that masquerades as sky. Coincidence? How many people actually look at the stars? I’d need to dust off my old star chart.

If you are in the northern hemisphere you are probably mistaking Jupiter, Mars and Saturn for stars. Jupiter is the brightest and rises low in the southern sky just before sunset.

We call those "planets".
