Cloning is something iv been looking into for awhile. they've been cloning for sometime now but its not quite what people think and they rarely take it all the way.

let me explain, so the only way to clone someone is by preforming a Somatic celluer nucellar transfer (basically they take the nucleus out of a human cell and put it in a human egg that has had its own nucleus removed) this causes the egg to mimic fertilization and start forming stem cells

this is actually how some stem cell clinics make stem cells for the patients instead of relying on donated ones.

but see, a bunch of stem cells formed this way are identical to the cells that make up a early fetus after conception. just a bunch of stem cells.

now if you were to take those cells and bring them to a in vitro fertilization clinic they could implant them in a woman and grow a human clone naturally thru pregnancy. they did this with dolly

there are probably some clones alive today but they dont realizes it, situations like a rich family looses a newborn or young child by accident or thru tragedy and then justs clones them as a second chance.

when people think of cloning they think of huge secret facilities and test tubes with people in them..
