Kary Mullis said he couldn't find HIV when he was working on a cure. Maybe there is a virus and it causes the immune system to weaken, but everything suggests that it can't be a permanent virus. Why do some drugs "control" HIV and prevent it from spreading or being detectable but not cure it? If these drugs just support the body by holding back the virus, then why can't the body hold back the virus or permanently disable it with or without the drugs?
