Pointing out that you are jumping to conclusions is by no means grasping for the Mossad. The Mossad can both be "pricks" and at the same time have nothing to do with a purported assassination attempt against the Iranian Prime Minster. If you have some information you would like to share, then by all means do. Otherwise, this is just your initial guess.
Highest likelihood goes to the Israelis driving this, either by their using a drone with explosives, or instigating within the country to assassinate its leader.
Or by putting infiltrators into online forums to deflect accusations against Israel.
I think you're right with your first sentence.
Your second sentence can't have anything to do with who was behind the assassination attempt.
