They want to make it really seem like there is a worker shortage in America so they can import more replacements from other countries.
This has actually been done before. You'll notice that some places around the world that were important during colonialism have a surprising amount of ethnic diversity. I am not talking about creolization, but Indian, Chinese and Arabic ethnic communities. The story goes that once slavery ended, blacks wouldn't work for the white man, so they had to go elsewhere to import the labor and their descendants remain. The truth is the imports were just cheaper.
People will gleefully throw the working class under the bus if they can be convinced they simply won't work. Things like that on Reddit are to accomplish just that.
you either understand how these companies behave or you don’t.
i know ppl that were fired by the same company 3-4 times in less than a year. like more than a couple. these were companies that DEFINITELY got their covid loans and DEFINITELY were not divvying that shit out to spec. too.
educate yourself to why the problem exists (unbridled greed), or maybe just don’t talk about it. please and thank you.
ps: how about also not plugging reddit here? fkn hell!
Some of the comments, as with front page shill posts, are especially vitriolic and hateful. It's supposed to be a profession of care for humans. If they feel this way about their own colleagues, friends, imagine what kind of impartiality they afford their patients.

I didn't link to Reddit, I linked to Teddit which strips Reddit of click through revenue and tracking.
Why are you trying to police my speech so hard? Are you Canadian?
There are frequent posts in /r/nursing about the remaining staff delighting in their colleagues walking https://teddit.net/r/nursing/comments/qb5rhp/antivax_nurses_are_making_me_hate_my_job/
