Inspired by the hilariously amazing Q (star trek) post from today (if you don't know, look into it!), I went to /pol and saw the at the top a post about Rudy Giuliani under oath. SO I watched.
Here's something fun I noticed. When the anchor reads the Q & A, she says, "Dominion Voting Systems" and the text says "Dr. Coomer" @0:57. Now yes, at the very beginning of the video, they show papers on the slide that clearly indicate they are talking about Eric Coomer who is never actually specifically mentioned via audio in the video, BUT the way that was misspoken or miscaptioned later @0:57 was almost like an easter egg... almost like Dr. Coomer is an easter egg, which he is in the game half-life. The Black Mesa scientist who presumably worked in sector C, Dr. Coomer, is an easter egg in the game that's a nod to an employee at valve. So, maybe there's more here or maybe it's a funny little coincidence.
The "Back up" picture... or meme seems out of place too.
The anchor, after perfectly lining up with all of the other captions and even animating them when she speaks, again misspeaks @1:51 saying "this man" instead of "about that call".
Oh, and there's a red white dotted tie too (raskin) who says "you don't knock over the capital of the United States of America for free". The capital was "knocked over"? What?
Georgetown... I'm really beginning to strongly dislike that whole area. A lot leads to there and my person experience in that area isn't good either.
I did look it up to find the half-life connection. I played them too and missed that. Neat fact either way.
HL is pretty popular so it's possible, also possible it's merely an odd coincidence. I hear you about synchronicity though. It was a chain of synchronicity/coincidences that led me there too, not merely two dots, which I find peculiar.
If I get anything solid, I'll let you know.
I'll tell you another thing. The more synchronicities I seem to get, the more it "rubs off" on other people.
My mom got one that was nuts. She got rather sick over the weekend, and was in the bathroom for a while, and said to her friend Tom, "I don't want to be an albatross around your neck".
He left that night, and my mom ended up watching a police drama, and one of the main guys said not ten minutes in, "I don't want to be an albatross on this police department".
And she's like alright, that's weird. Gives up watching the show, and turned to a stack of books my sister picked up for her at the library (she's not too mobile). The first book that she read was about about a race of near immortals that inhabit earth and make it a point to mostly avoid engaging relationships. Name of the group? The Albatross Society! Or Alba for short. I think the book is "How to Stop Time" by Matt Haig (just did a search). My mom said that one paragraph alone had albatross five times.
Interestingly, I'm in a few of the Saturn/Black Cube groups on Reddit, where people often muse on how to "defeat" Saturn, whether it be by not reincarnating or whatnot.
It gets even better. My brother saw a bird the day before that, and had literally searched albatross because that's what he thought it was.
When my mom told me, I of course thought of Rime of the Ancient Mariner, and so did her friend Tom. My brother thought of the song Echoes by Pink Floyd, which mentions an albatross right off the bat and is also based off the poem.
So, now my mom is off on a tangent listening to Pink Floyd. Funny stuff.
