Learning institutions use flames and torches to represent enlightenment and the passing on of knowledge. The original logo for the Smithsonian Institution had torches on it. In 1966, the sun from founder James Smithson's coat of arms was made into a new logo. In heraldry the design is called "The Sun in His Splendor." It still represents truth and knowledge, but at an even greater magnitude.

Thanks for the info! Here is the old logo:

New logo was made by Ivan Chermayeff who also made the PBS and NBC Peacock logos:

Oh snap! Look what I stumbled upon.

In the area of exhibit design, Chermayeff & Geismar has fulfilled the goals and aspirations of clients with such designs as the United States Pavilion at Expo ’70 in Osaka, Japan, “The Mill” for Burlington Industries at their headquarters building in New York City, and “The Hall of the Sun” at the Hayden Planetarium. In 1964, they designed a traveling exhibition of John F. Kennedy memorabilia.

The Hayden Planetarium is where Neil works.

The Hall of the Sun:

This terrazzo inlay representing the face of the Aztec Sun Stone was a centerpiece at the Hall of the Sun at the Hayden Planetarium, built in 1935. Often mistakenly called the Aztec Calendar Stone, the actual 25-ton monolith represents the fifth sun, or age, which began with the accession of King Itzcoatl (1427-1449). The original stone is on view at the Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City, and a full-siz cast stands in the Hall of Mexico and Central America.

The hall was designed by Chermayeff & Geismar Associates and funded by the Billy Rose Foundation

Funded by the Billy Rose Foundation? Let's see what we can find on this guy...

Donated a statue to the National Museum of Israel made by an Epstein:

Nothing suspicious on his mausoleum besides being a Jewish cemetery:

This is kind of interesting though:

His Billy Rose’s Music Hall, said journalist Lucius Beebe, was “a monument to lunacy … in a class by itself.” It was “a madhouse of gayety … chaotic revelry in a strange combination of Mardi Gras-Beaux Arts Ball-Coney Island atmosphere.” The venue boasted 100 singing waiters who were dressed as mobsters, and “gaudy nudes.” It featured free dances with young women “who came as close to illegal solicitation as the law allowed.”

what i find fascinating is the symbology behind the compass & square.

the square = female on her back

the compass = male mounting on top

the "G" = stands for "generative" ie copulation, fuckn & suckn

the eye in the center = pee hole

rays emanating from the eye or the "G" = sperm

freemasons are nut'n but horny devils.

Albert Pike explaining “The Compass, is the Hermetic Symbol of the Creative Deity, and the Square of the productive Earth or Universe.” [Morals and Dogma , p. 850-1].” Therefore, the Masons look at the compass as the male phallus and the square as the female vulva. The SQUARE, therefore, is a natural and appropriate Symbol of this Earth and the things that belong to it, are of it, or concern it. The Compass is an equally natural and appropriate Symbol of the Heavens, and of all celestial things and celestial natures.

The greatest Masonic author of all time, Albert Pike, agrees. He states [page 631-32 in Morals and Dogma ] that the Monad [#1] is male, and the Duad [#2] is female. Their sexual union produces the Triad [#3], which is “represented by the letter ‘G’, the generative principle”. This term, “generative principle”, is code for the sex act.

albert pike... ya know... the guy that established the freemasons.

whats your argument, you TURD-BLOSSOM?
