They are quickly whitewashing things, I had to do some digging to find the name: Ira Einhorn or the fact earth day is on Lenin's birthday!

The Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth_Day only places Ira Einhorn only in the see also section, give it some time and anyone young will not be able to make the connection.
