I believe Giants where around before the flood just like the book of Enoch says. Everything wasn't destroyed in the flood, only killed, so there is plenty of proof around including remains of giants and their buildings.
There were giants on the earth in those days; and also after that
Various passages confirm the success in killing these creatures with the flood, however this passage here basically confirms that nothing stopped more of these creatures from being born after the flood.
I believe they were exterminated by humans. In Greek mythology, the Olympians destroyed the Titans. In Norse mythology the Aesir gods destroyed the Jotunn. Almost every culture has legends about Giants and in almost all of them they are enemies of humans.
I think they were the atlanteans, that’s why they spread all over the world after the last cataclysm (~12,000 years ago, occurring every ~12,000 years in accord with the precession of the equinoxes), and were able to ingratiate themselves into the local “primitive” groups (they had valuable things to share, like calendrics and farming technologies), whereupon they cross-bred themselves into unity with the tribes.
Got pushed north from a cataclysm maybe around 10K BC. They could survive in the cooler Northern (Nord) climate, they reached Greenland (Thule) and Iceland, and also traversed the strait to reach Siberia/Russia.
They may have been the Scythians/Tartarians, or ancestors of them. They may have been the 'original' Vikings, the ones who seeded the Norse with their knowledge, which trickled down to Ancient Greece.
They may have been like Neanderthals, or "trolls" or giants. Maybe the Biblical giant that's spoken about in regard to David, or the Jews who travelled to the Levant and witnessed "giants". Perhaps the Philistines and/or Nephilim/Remphanites had giant blood in them.
They could have provided the muscle for building the great stone structures of the old world like the dolmens and pyramids.
Archaeology has to proceed, and holy sites must stop being bombed/looted, so we can continue finding answers about our heritage, one of our most divine pursuits.
This podcast has a good progression of going from being based on bigfoot to a more in depth conversation about giants. They come at it from a Christian perspective using all the ancient texts. https://www.blurrycreatures.com/

Good point. I wonder what happened were they aren't around today. Maybe it was a recessive gene?

What makes you think the Olympians (i.e. Zeus) were humans?
They used to say the fairies got them.
I think there's a good chance it was the cabal, even back then.
Stealing children for rituals and medical experimentation.
Interesting accounts in the book of Enoch, book of jasher, and book of giants.

Associating global disasters with astrological / nomical data is literally medieval thinking…
Far earlier than that, Dr. Science, which was my point
Yes I think they originated from America.

What's with the pic?
Likely a dead sea scroll fragment of the book of Enoch
