“an inherently right-wing, hyper-capitalistic technology built primarily to amplify the wealth of its proponents through a combination of tax avoidance, diminished regulatory oversight and artificially enforced scarcity.
You say that like it's a bad thing, lol.
He argues that cryptocurrency has taken the worst parts of today’s capitalist system (e.g., corruption, fraud, inequality), using software to technically limit the use of interventions (e.g., audits, regulation, taxation) that serve as protections or safety nets for the average person.
Oh yes, the government will come save us. I can't wait. They sure do a good job of audits and regulations. I feel so safe after the taxation as well.
Why is artificially enforced scarcity stupid? I don't think having an inflationary currency is a good thing. If it was, there would be little point in creating cryptocurrency when we already have the digital dollar.
Funny how a speculative asset can be a scam. You can invest in anything really, houses, classic cars, gold, businesses, stocks etc.. Thing is, you can't really afford a house that will eventually go up in value if you're poor, neither can you afford a classic car. Because neither can be divided into smaller pieces and maintain the value.
But crypto does this, you don't have to buy 1 BTC, you can buy 0.1, 0.02 or what about 0.00000001, and still enjoy the same percent gains. The easy access to trading also makes it an affordable investment for anyone, including poor people.
See this scares the elite, people who used to be broke can become very rich very fast if they invest right. The elite want poor people to waste their savings on rigged lotteries or something, they don't want anyone to become as rich as them.
Obviously rich can also get richer by investing in cryptocurrency, that's the thing, anyone can invest, not only those who are already rich. And it ain't rigged against the poor, like everything else.
He forked the source code and changed the logo then haven't done any effort to update afterwards. It's like robbing Einstein then come out and cry that the famous equation E = mc² is a scam, despite plenty of proof that it's correct and works.
Says rich man who got richer through cryptocurrency
They only speak out when they have their cut. Champagne socialists.

I do agree that artificially enforced scarcity is stupid and the limiting factor.
When we were focused on the gold standard, it was based on real precious metal scarcity.
There is not a limitless amount of gold on the planet, and we do not artificially enforce scarcity. It's just actually scarce.
Why is artificially enforced scarcity stupid? I don't think having an inflationary currency is a good thing. If it was, there would be little point in creating cryptocurrency when we already have the digital dollar.
Salty fuck sold at the bottom.
So he's saying he himself is a scammer. People should thus be skeptical of what he says.
What isn't a scam to make the rich richer?
He has no one to blame but himself

Exactly. It's no surprise the inventor of a jokecoin thinks crypto is a problem. He's talking about himself.
