Are you suggesting that gravity would be different for just this building?
Buildings that have their structure mostly intact don't freefall into their footprint and disintegrate. It takes well placed explosives to make that happen.
The only explanation i can think of is they were drilling under it for a sub-sealevel dumb or a huge ass natural sinkhole opened up underneath it.
