The elites realize as well as we do that the current paradigm is unsustainable. The economic system based on the dollar as the reserve currency, debasing it to bribe allies, fund wars, etc., there's no way it would last forever.

This is about resetting the financial system and lowering the expectations of the plebs so that rather than feeling like we are being ripped off, we feel we are "doing our part" to save the Earth by sacrificing our previous life.

So one example would be transitioning to electric cars. People might think, "how could the grid handle that?". Easy, by not allowing everyone to own their own vehicle. You would use it more like a taxi service that you rent, making you more tethered to cities.

You'd have to sacrifice having a personal home, and instead living in one of the big block apartments they are mass constructing right now (no more single family homes).

You'll have to learn to eat bugs. Don't worry, they'll be crushed and repackaged as a "healthy, sustainable" food source, like those lab meat burgers they are pushing.

Of course they have control over society, but this reset is about resetting expectations. Rather than thinking your children will have more than you, now it's time to think about how much you can give up in order to "save the Earth".
