I can’t believe I have to explain this to people.....
Coronavirus is a strain of virus, separate and distinct froM influenza. Very much like how humans and gorillas are both primates but separate and distinct species.
The term “virus” is a classification method. Coronaviruses come in all kinds of strains causing most frequently symptoms we see in the common cold - sniffles, headaches, coughing, etc
Influenza viruses also come in a lot of shapes and colors and usually cause more severe symptoms than corona viruses such as diarrhea, vomiting, full body aches and pains.
Frequently the two are confused because when you sore and coughing your girlfriend asks what’s wrong you might say “I have a bad flu” when I’m reality it’s a cold, or corona virus.
Your claim is that Coronavirus and influenza are the same and that is wrong. It’s like saying chimps and humans are the same because we share 98% similar DNA.
So prove to me and the entire history of microbiology that they are the same virus, or simply admit you made a mistake or didn’t know.
