I've heard several theories, my favorite is it was an attempted hit on someone powerful or an industry. Another is it was a false flag, or to mess with markets in a way that someone makes or loses a lot of money.
because the fuel tanks would have made a great distraction?
Possible. But nothing else in the situation is as it first appears either. There may be some deeper meaning, maybe not. Yeah, we'll probably never know for sure.
My theory is that it was a gun deal between Feds and Islamic terrorists that went wrong ( Check out who rented an entire wing in the hotel that night) which caused a shoot out.
And shooting into random civilians was a fast/easy impulsive damage control method for a cover up.
the craziest theory i read was about a botched gun deal for somehow connected to some saudi prince .
apparently he had a suite right above the incident and "shooter" was a spook that sold guns previously. the crazy shooter was the coverup for the botched op.
the write up was pretty out there, but dude had some photos and logic to back it up
Hear me out, a bit of a different take then I'm seeing...
Vegas is a major US city. Never Had a major NFL, MLB, NBA or NHL team, for various reasons
The issues sports gambling would create in the city is a reason why..
It is crazy considering other major US/CAN cities have sports teams with 100+ yr histories
Finally, Vegas is approved for a sports team in 2016. The Las Vegas Golden Knights hockey team in the NHL
NHL season always begin in early October
The "attack" happens Oct. 1, 2017 -- THE MOST MURDEROUS IN U.S. HISTORY.
The Vegas hockey team's schedule is made during the summer of 2017, months before the attack. They are already scheduled to play their first two games on the road. In terms of marketing, this makes no sense at all. A brand new team in a major city... for the first time ever... in Las fucking Vegas... Is the NHL marketing team really dumb enough to miss the chance to open the NHL season with a spectacular show?? A franchise, season & home opener in Las Vegas to kick off the NHL's 100th season??? It is already going to be hard enough making ice hockey in the desert work. The NHL is fighting to be recognized alongside the other 3 major sports in the USA. Maybe... just maybe... they knew something was going to happen in early October... just before they start playing...?
The attack happens.
Vegas hockey team plays the rest of the season, and reaches NHL Stanley Cup finals in their first season. First time in NHL history a team reaches the finals in their first year. Coincidence?
The NHL signs lucrative deals with sports gambling affiliated brands (DraftKings, etc.)
In 2018, Vegas gets a WNBA team, and in 2020 the Raiders move from Oakland to Las Vegas in the NFL
Las Vegas now has 3 major sports teams.
Take this "attack" as a price that was paid, for sports to be allowed to operate in the city of Las Vegas
It was finally "Game on!" in Vegas, and they decided they were going to play ball. Whoever "they" are...

Why would they want to assassinate him? Also smart on the Prince to dress down, it's what I would do if I were famous.
How do you know it was a FF? The concesus was a Saudi arms deal gone wrong.
However, the first shots fired were at Janet airlines infrastructure. The same "Janet airlines" that ferries workers to/from area 51.
Yup. Agreed. Not really a false flag. More like a bunch of people in the wrong place at the wrong time during a very violent coup attempt.
With regards to Janet airlines, wasn't that because the fuel tanks would have made a great distraction?
Anyways, chaotic mess, we'll never know except for the fish smell.
Possible. But nothing else in the situation is as it first appears either. There may be some deeper meaning, maybe not. Yeah, we'll probably never know for sure.

Weirdest thing about it was he could have afforded a few full autos, why bumpstocks?
He also could afford a plane and had a pilots license.
There weren't any present. The gov was looking at bumpstocks for a while and, well, "never let a good crises go to waste"
but the problem is why they would do this?
The helicopters did the shooting.
