In this textbook it appears they describe the theories and show the equations assuming Kepler's law, but if you read the paragraph in the photo it states, "There are many differences between the assumptions used to derive Kepler’s Laws and reality.". So the textbook tells you how sat nav would work staying true to Kepler's law, but also clearly states that this is not reality or practical.
