Your thinking of the sun in flat earth as huge as the globe model. The sun would be a localized light source within the atmosphere the same size as the moon and smaller.

If half the population believe the earth is a globe, then it's a globe. If half the earth believed it was flat then it would indeed be flat. It's hard to think anything else but a globe cause that's all we've been told since birth.

Lol, much of the population in the middle ages ALL believed it was flat because their eyes could not see the ball. So what happened? European explorers like Magellan circumnavigated the world, made charts, and returned saying the world was a globe. Further, their timepieces and navigation by stars would only be possible on a globe. Why? Because on flat earth your stars do not 'return' they are fixed and as you travel across the sea they would remain behind you. This simply is not true.
