I dont know. I think he really had no choice but to push the vax thru. If he had said coof was a hoax or anything like that he would have been crucified. Last summer he was pushing to reopen, saying that the cure shouldn't be more damaging than the problem.
And he actually did us a favor by pushing the vax so fast that they only got emergency approval instead of full approval, which means they cannot legally be mandated.
He also promoted several therapeutics that have now been shown to be hugely effective at treating cov. Also, he has repeatedly stressed that it is a matter of individual choice.
