I think if people knew how many interactions with bots they had beyond simple voting, it would shine a big light on things.
Here’s an idea, even if only as a trial.
Could we get some kind of policy to ask some kind of simple math question at the end of each comment/post (that’s not just plain numbers, so bots can’t pick it up) and then people to ignore/downvote any response that doesn’t answer it.
For example:
Three plus tooo.
Number of Two human’s worth of arms minus six.
Bakers dozen minus phive.
Numbers of letters in the word cat minus the number of letters in the word smile.
A squares’s corners plus a circle’s corners.
Great idea!
I agree with you that something needs to be done and would improve the quality of the community
How many dicks do a half a dozen lady bois have
Well yeah, basically.
It kills the quick flow of things and requires a level of trust that the captcha isn’t compromised in any way. This keeps it between the users interacting with each other
You get an upvote.

There may be bots among us.
I think you would be surprised. Very much so.
WOW - you reinvented captha. Which is not working so well by the way.
How many nukes does Israel own?
How many racists in Washington?
DC or state?
Yes.
Oy vey, such anti semitism. If we don't put an end to such hate, we'll have another shoah.
