All three up right now are dense with links and discussion. While your posts are frequently great for evoking a chuckle, or an insightful “hmm”, the difference in substance between the average post here and the stickies is massive. I think that should continue even as the topics shift. I’d hate to see this place take a note from TD and just pin whatever retarded shit the mod feels like, when they feel like it proves them right. Also one wonders why someone with as many opinions to share as yourself hasn’t ventured into either of the more recent pins, even if only to say “I disagree and here’s why”.
What do you mean? Are posts automatically expanded for you? I only browse mobile and I can’t even tell how long a post is until I expand it
That’s what upvoting is for, pins are for keeping content that’s valuable and provokes discussion artificially above the fray of drive by twitter screenshots and random low effort trash that gets upvoted but isn’t beneficial for a forum beyond giving a sense of “activity”, which admittedly has some slight value
Since this place doesn’t have the same dumb restriction as reddit however, there’s no reason not to pin a good thread, even if only for a little while.
We should just set up a system where someone can nominate a post for sticky in a comment, then if that post gets say 5 or 10 upvotes the user pings a mod, and it gets pinned for a day or two. Thoughts?
Hot is garbage for discussions imo, if something is “hot” that means everyone agrees with the idea, if everyone agrees then the discussion will be pointless or nearly pointless beyond reinforcing your current beliefs.
And the point of a forum is discussion, not the circlejerk of upvoting and downvoting
It’s almost entirely upvotes, I’ve never seen a post with less upvotes but more comments and the same time of posting higher in the front page. And given the obvious and documented presence of downvote manipulators here, it’s silly to put so much faith in them. Stickies serve a useful purpose, I’m sure if you posted something worth stickying and made a comment pinging a mod they would consider it, especially if that comment showed a consensus or atleast common support
You have one upvote to give. Do you receive the same value from consuming a twitter screenshot or other similar shower-thought type content as you do from a deep, well thought out text post full of links to supporting info/documentary?
If you don’t receive the same value from these things, but one is infinitely more conducive to upvotes (I swear atleast 10% of your upvotes come from people misunderstanding your titles lol) - don’t you think there should be some way to “signal boost” these valuable topics? The shit that TD pins is almost always stuff those apes would have upvoted anyway
I agree with Graphenium, I think the pins are alright, if it were me I would just add one more pin to with an open discussion of how we can help take down israel, because it constitutes the criminal base of the sub humans who are causing all this. Should be our most important target, since the enemy has long been identified for anyone who is really into conspiracies.
Best strategy we can take for now is ousting the israelis for 9-11 and Epistein and educating people about jewish supremacy. All else will fall in place afterwards.
What threads would you pin? Honestly we as a community need to set up a system. It’s silly to make one of the two mods trawl through shit to sticky at a whim. Some kind of “!nominate” type deal
Seriously, where is all this great discussion I’m missing that you think should be pinned but isn’t? Or do you think that these drive by screenshots should be getting pinned just to make things seem “fresh”?
Also it’s unfair to say you don’t have all day (you post throughout the day at least) yet you want all this to fall on axo to keep up with, day in and day out
You keep focusing on discussion but for me its more about information of the post.
These two are inseparable to me. A post without discussion is a post with limited information.
Discussions don't really interest me and perhaps thats where you and ayh differ.
Sounds like you want an RSS feed, not a forum. I scrolled through your posts. Out of the last 50, I didn’t see 5 with more than 10 comments. It seems like you would prefer Twitter to here, except maybe the audience there would be harder to reach.
Ayh want a peg board of headlines connected with red strings rather than digging thru gibberish media dialog to pick apart nonsensical prattle.
The peg board is the nonsensical gibberish, without the digging. The peg board is meaningless without thought behind it.
A single visit per day by a mod (of which there are 5?)
Nope... just axo and putin
Give it a try for a couple days and see.
Only if you try making posts for the purpose of engagement and self-edification. See which is more enriching, sensory overload, or sharpened discernment
Ok but there’s a big difference between 58 days and 12/9 days like the other two pins. Both of which are full of great, insightful, thought provoking info, and both of which are lacking comments by youse. Do you get the point of stickying discussions? It’s to have discussions, not parade a stream of contextless showerthoughts and “gotcha LIBTARDS” posts
Why? Are these resolved? Have all the normies woken up?!! That’s a no. These remain the most crucial issues.
