Except it didn't work, some mosquitos survived but now they are genetically enhanced and spread Zika virus throughout the he region. This was tested in South America and the mosquito population swiftly recovers. It's a shit idea. More recklessly irresponsible trash soyence.
Removing the local mosquito may allow a foreign one to get a foothold. Not necessarily a good idea.
