Suppose you have a random set of 1000 elderly, say 1000 70 year olds. If all 1000 take a Covid vaccine shot today, probably 1 of them will die in a week. What is the chance that any of 1000 will die of Covid infection or will die of any cause in a week?
Suppose you have a random set of 1,000,000 teenagers, and think of how many of them drop dead in a week after the vaccine shot. And think of how many of them drop dead in a week of Covid infection.

the search engine lets you select a type of event. In this search I selected Death. If you search "All Events", some 30,000 reports come up. You can check it out yourself on the CDC VEARS reporting database

Are these not the same rules that apply to COVID? If someone dies and tests positive then it is counted as a COVID death. If the same rules apply, then I think its a fair comparison.
Not the same rules. Events are not reported to VAERS adverse effect database unless the cause isn't apparent.

Several independent studies show that only around 1% of vaccine injuries make it into the VAERS database.
