I thought that the Jesuits, based on their oath, weren't very fond of the Masons.
But I haven't seen real evidence that they did anything against Masons in my lifetime.
So, if you check out the monogram of Mary, supposedly worn by Jesuits, it has IXXI on it, which is 911. Also the Masonic symbol with the two pillars.
So, in essence, I wonder if the real connection lies somewhere with worship of the feminine over the masculine. Mari was a Basque goddess, and I believe Jesuit veneration of Mary is akin to worship at some levels. Mary sightings are awfully similar to Mari sightings, that's all I know.
Also probably related is Satanism. Goya has a painting depicting women offering children to the "goat", horned beat. Basque women were left alone because many Basque men were seafaring, and supposedly took to witchcraft when the men were away.
