The reason for continued mask is if you allow boat loads of foreigners back onto your shores. Tourism and international travel resumes. Increases could sooner be carrying all kinds of bubonic mutations causing a continued infestation and the virus to seamlessly resurface wearing down the vaccine immunity. Hence masks would continue to be imposed and social distancing to remain present, for the heightened terror of invasive mutations causing the vaccine efficacy to be redundant.
We can speculate there is no real data on the vaccine either. It sooner imposes more restrictions and continued boosters. Hell they haven't even reopened yet away from national lockdown.
