I read Anne Frank's diary. It's bullshit. It sounds like someone trying to make a novel not a diary. But the intro explains that Anne Frank wrote her diary to be published, and so she edited it. Okay. That explains why it sounds like a novel.
Then the problem becomes the lack of details. If she wanted to have her diary published, why leaves out interesting/certain details? For example, she talks about her birthday, and the presents she received. But her description of the gifts are weird. She received a game, a puzzle, a book, and cookies... What's the game? What's the puzzle? What's the title of the book? What are the cookies?
She talks about her grades, and says she "got one D, a C- in algebra and all the rest B's, except
for two B+'s and two B-'s." What are the other subjects? Only algebra is important?
Keep in mind that she provides plenty of details for other things that most children would not care about. In one part of her diary she has a whole, organized list of things she bought, and the prices. Why the fuck would a 13 year old write that? Is she a shopkeeper?
Then who put in the creepy masturbation part of the diary? I'm not trolling, this is a legitimate question.
