I think our reflexive distrust of authority on this board, along with rejection of consumerist values, means that we want to reject anything mainstream just for being mainstream. Just because something is mainstream, doesn't mean it's bad.

p.s. When you're using wheelbarrows of your fiat current to buy your bread, you'll wish you had bought silver, gold, or cryptocurrencies. Don't cash out your 401k, but diversify is all anyone that isn't dead from the neck up is saying.
