They said this was done to allow for ease of voting during a pandemic, which I believe was made in earnest, but it's absolutely proven that democrats win when voting is easier. More barriers, like fewer polling locations, fewer days to early vote, less access to mail-in ballots, more stringent ID requirements, etc., means more Republicans win.
