The Sabbateans were a specific sect of Messianic Jews led by Sabbatai Zevi, later co-opted by Jacob Frank. Both of these men died, both were definitively proved not to be the Messiah. Without the figurehead, there's no reason for the sect to continue.
If you can find people out there who still believe that one of these men from hundreds of years ago is the Messiah, then more power to you. They don't exist.
