Yahweh Sabaoth was his name, god of armies.
After casting off their other gods “for I AM a jealous god” they were “chosen” by the one that remained.
Have you heard the story of Sophia? Mother of Christ and the malformed stillbirth yahweh?
The ungraced “one most high”? Who’s peak could never extend past the physical morass into the spiritual pleuroma?
These are just my thoughts, but the story fed to us at mass through the cannibal rituals led by pedophiles reeks of control and contractual complacency (I include all Churches under this description, out of fairness, some have been more exposed than others)
If you’re going to read and seek insight from the scriptures, you should be using the oldest, and therefore least manipulated versions, this all comes from the nag hammadi texts.
The origin of Yahweh:

The gnostic cosmogeny (one interpretation)
Everything you say may be the case, but you’re better off understanding the origins than not.
The god of the Old Testament is exactly what I stated above, the god of war of a small, wandering tribe of semites. That god was responsible for the construction of the physical, but it is not the “true god”.
Ask yourself why 95% of the sayings of Christ never made it into the canon of the cannibals.
Everyone tries to discount Christ or twists scripture to their own ideals, this is wrong and evil. I do believe the God of armies is the one true God. Perhaps I am confused but they way I understand what you are saying is Yahweh is some usurper with war on the brain and it strikes me as blasphemous. I believe the God of creation did walk in the wilderness with Jews and that he chose them as his people and he was betrayed again and again and again and yet he still sought for us to understand his love and gave himself to die for the sin we cannot wash away. This God of armies is not the god of war though he wages it. God is love and he has given enough proof for those that wish to see.
Hmm interesting take... so it doesn’t strike you as utterly implausible for an omnipotent being to act like a jealous, angry bitch circa 6000 years ago, and then all of a sudden chill out after he has a kid? An ALL KNOWING being...that has temper tantrums?
You misunderstand jealousy, I think, its not such a negative connotation. Angry? Sure! Absolutely! The difference between the testaments are the convenant promises (from God to humans)within them and spoiler alert! Jesus changed the game. I very much hope to not be here when that convenant promise comes to fruition because angry jealous wont even begin to cover the destruction that will be poured out.
It is absolutely a negative thing, because when you comprehend the gnostic texts, you see he was jealous of OUR divine spark, like Christ’s, gifted by Sophia, an emanation of God and higher than Yahweh, but still not herself the all encompassing majesty of God.
In your opinion is the old testament god all knowing?
